Description This Textured Silver and Copper Broken Rock Necklace is made from recycled silver and copper using sustainable processes and practices. The silver in this textured necklace is reticulated, a process that enables the silver to flow across the surface, creating beautiful natural textures that are very tactile. Every piece of reticulated silver is unique; this makes each necklace one-of-a-kind. The silver is 2mm thick, making it a lovely weight. Ore is a natural rock or sediment that contains valuable minerals, including metals such as copper, gold and iron. Cornwall is particularly known for its mining of tin and copper, as well as arsenic, silver and zinc. Hence the inspiration for this piece of jewellery! These days we don’t need to mine for new silver, gold and copper for jewellery as there is a plentiful supply of recycled metals.
